How to Track Missed Attacks in CWL

A guide for tracking missed CWL attacks and turning that signal into better clan decisions.

Why missed attacks matter in CWL

Missed attacks are one of the clearest signals in Clash of Clans CWL. A failed attack can still create stars or destruction, but a missed attack creates nothing. In close CWL rounds, one unused attack can be the difference between promotion, staying in the same league, or dropping down.

Tracking missed attacks is also useful because it separates availability from attack skill. A strong attacker who misses regularly creates a different leadership problem than a weaker attacker who always shows up.

What should leaders track?

A useful missed-attack view should show more than a single total. Leaders usually need context:

  • Which players missed attacks
  • Which rounds had missed attacks
  • Whether the miss happened once or repeatedly
  • Whether the clan still won the round
  • How many stars were likely left unused
  • Whether the player also contributed strong attacks in other rounds

This context matters. A one-time miss is not the same as a pattern. A missed attack in a comfortable win is not the same as a missed attack in a one-star loss.

Missed attacks and CWL planning

During CWL, missed attacks are not only a post-season review metric. They are a live operational issue. If a player has not attacked and war day is nearly over, leaders need to know early enough to remind them, swap future lineups, or adjust the remaining attack plan.

This is where real-time CWL stats are especially useful. A tracker can show who has attacked and who has not, without requiring someone to keep checking every profile manually.

How Clanalyze helps

Clanalyze tracks CWL participation alongside stars, destruction, attack results, defense results, and player performance. That lets leaders review missed attacks as part of the full season instead of treating them as isolated notes.

For many clans, this is one of the simplest ways to improve CWL reliability: make missed attacks visible, review them fairly, and use the pattern when planning the next roster.
