A plain-English explanation of Impact Score and why raw stars do not always tell the whole CWL story.
What is Impact Score?
Impact Score is a Clanalyze metric designed to summarize how much value a player creates in Clash of Clans CWL. Raw stars are useful, but they can be misleading when viewed alone. A triple against a difficult target, a strong defensive hold, and a safe cleanup attack do not all represent the same kind of impact.
Impact Score is meant to give clan leaders a clearer performance signal by looking beyond the simplest totals.
Why raw stars are not enough
Stars are the main CWL scoreboard, so they should always matter. But a player's star total can hide important context:
- Some players attack harder bases
- Some players clean easier targets
- Some players provide strong defensive value
- Some players miss attacks but still have good averages
- Some players get high stars while the round is already decided
This does not make star totals wrong. It means leaders often need another layer when comparing player value.
How leaders can use Impact Score
Impact Score is most useful as a conversation starter, not as an automatic judgment. It can help identify players who consistently create value, players whose defense deserves more credit, and players whose raw stars do not fully reflect their role.
For example, a player with fewer stars but strong defensive results may be more valuable than their attack total suggests. Another player may have good stars but mostly from safer hits. Impact Score helps make those differences easier to see.
Impact Score and real-time CWL tracking
Impact Score becomes more useful when it is paired with real-time CWL analytics. During a season, leaders can watch not only who is attacking, but who is actually changing the round. After the season, they can review the same metric across multiple wars and months.
